With over 7.200 visitors, 92 exhibiting companies and more than 90 program items, SHOWTECH 2025 became a true highlight of the theater and event technology industry.

Whether on stage, at the booths, or during spontaneous conversations, the atmosphere was characterized by exchange, curiosity, and innovative spirit. Last week was special 🤩 We attended SHOWTECH in Berlin for the first time and will definitely be back. A huge compliment to everyone involved, including Viktoria Ebel and Wiebke Pohl, who put so much passion into creating a fantastic three-day event. We had many great conversations, including the well-attended talk with Anke Schierenbeck on the topic of retrofitting auditorium lighting in listed theaters and the presentation by our Paul Werner on how LED upgrades instead of new investments not only save money but can also be transformed into high-end light sources with retrofit solutions from Coemar Lighting Srl.💡 We are especially pleased to have received two Showtech Awards. 🏆

A wonderful few days at SHOWTECH conference! Thank you so much to Viktoria Ebel and Wiebke Pohl for organizing such a wonderful event. It was a real privilege for Chris Dales and I to be able to share the work we undertake at Charcoalblue and to be asked to join a panel discussing the development being made by all involved with the theater green book.

The location was beautiful, the atmosphere almost intimate, the audience top-class and international – you couldn't ask for more as an exhibitor. The party on the banks of the Spree, with its discreet, non-frontal stage program, was a harmonious climax and offered the opportunity to continue the day's many interesting technical discussions over a cold drink. The path taken by DTHG is the right one. We don't want multi-story exhibition stands on large stands in sterile exhibition halls – if our customers have one at home, it's usually at least a "large room" with plenty of space, which is very likely in need of at least partial renovation. We can't impress them with space and size. What counts here is presence and expertise – and that's exactly what we offered. We were thoroughly impressed by the second Showtech organized by DTHG, and we are convinced that this trade fair will now return to calmer waters. We will definitely be back in two years.

This year's Showtech exhibition in Berlin was a complete success. There were inspiring discussions with visitors from all over the world and valuable impulses for the future of the theater industry. The 6.500 square meter, multifunctional Arena Halle offers a professional event infrastructure of the highest standard directly on the banks of the Spree in the Alt-Treptow district. The Arena Berlin hall was built in 1927, in the Golden Twenties, for Berlin's public transport and was the largest self-supporting hall in Europe at the time.

Enjoy the "World of theatre and stage technology" in this historic hall, listen to the conference lectures in the industrial chic of the glass house and take a breath of fresh air on our sun deck directly on the Spree with a view of the Berlin skyline. We look forward to your visit!

SHOWTECH is the international trade fair for theater, stage, and event technology organized by DTHG (German Trade Fair for Theater, Stage, and Event Technology). It takes place every two years in Berlin. The next event will be held from June 01 to 03, 2027, at the ARENA Berlin. The venue is located in southeast Berlin, directly on the Spree River. With its extraordinary architecture and fantastic spaces like the Badeschiff (bathing ship), it offers a unique backdrop for an unforgettable event. Events that have grown at the ARENA have become flagships in Berlin's event calendar. The ARENA Berlin is easily accessible by bus and train, making a low-carbon journey possible.

At the SHOWTECH trade fair, you'll meet renowned companies, start-ups, associations and institutions, universities, and vocational schools from all over the world. Special formats will be set up to showcase the latest products and services: a product stage, the new SoundLab for all acoustic topics, and roundtables for meetings of the DTHG specialist groups. The SHOWTECH27 trade fair will take place in the ARENA Hall on all three days of the event (June 01–03, 2027).
The SHOWTECH Congress is all about the great visions for the future of our industry. Look forward to a wide range of topics from technical and structural solutions, exciting discussions on the topics of sustainability and energy, lectures from the field of theater architecture, immersive technologies such as VR and AR, safety on stage, as well as current developments in the field of further training and recruiting young talent in a European context. The SHOWTECH 2025 Congress took place on May 21 and 22 in the glass house of the ARENA Berlin.
