The SHOWTECH AWARD was presented on 21 May 2025 in the four categories TECHNOLOGY (stage technology), (Sustainability & Energy Efficiency) and LIGHT/SOUND/MEDIA (Light/Sound/Media), Best Project (Services and Planning Projects). The awards recognized outstanding new products for the stage from exhibitors at SHOWTECH 2025.

The Showtech Awards jury brings together outstanding personalities from various fields of theater and event technology, design, and technical management. With their professional expertise, many years of experience, and diverse perspectives, they evaluate innovative projects, pioneering technologies, and creative solutions for the industry. Together, they contribute to ensuring the quality and relevance of the awards—and focus on the challenges and opportunities of a changing cultural landscape.
Prof. Stephan Rolfes
Professor of Theatre and Event Technology at the Berlin University of Technology. He specializes in stage engineering, lightweight construction, and safety structures and is involved in numerous expert committees and standards committees.
Horst Mühlberger
Lighting and stage designer specializing in dance and architectural lighting projects. Until March 2024, he was Technical Director of the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum and is a lecturer in lighting design at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences.
Stian Bru
Technical Director at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet in Oslo. He is responsible for the technical planning and implementation of diverse stage productions at an international level.
Almut Reitz
Head of Workshops and Construction at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe. In addition to implementing stage designs, she explores issues of transformation in theater—particularly in the tension between tradition, leadership, and innovation.
Ing. Martin Kollin
Executive Secretary General of the OETHG and long-standing expert in theatre and event technology as well as organizer of the MEET trade fair.
