This station vividly demonstrates how physical objects can be digitized through 3D scanning and then made tangible through 3D printing. A laser scanner captures real objects—or even people—in three dimensions, processes them, and converts them into print data. A 3D printer runs in parallel, continuously producing objects—from small stage elements to scale models.
The technology is increasingly being used in theater practice, for example in the development of digital stage models or in rapid prototyping for scenography, props, and educational formats. Visitors will gain insight into the various steps on site – from capture and model processing to the production of a real object.
