The Scenography Association cordially invites you to this year's Scenography Day! Members of the Scenography Association are just as welcome as the SHOWTECH audience.

12.00 Welcome by the Board
The board sets the topics of the day. And it's interactive: We make opinions visible – with questions about professional reality, future prospects, salary developments, sustainability, and digitalization in the theater.

12.15 Impulse by Judith Adam
Judith Adam, costume and stage designer and former board member of the German Scenography Association, will kick things off. The focus will be on the opportunity to help shape a future-oriented knowledge landscape: the international database SC CORE®. This digital platform archives artistic theater work, thus increasing the visibility of our profession.

12.30 Panel discussion: Theatre scenography in transition
In a relaxed atmosphere, we'll discuss current challenges and perspectives in theater scenography and the importance of art and culture. Every 10 minutes, we'll spontaneously pull a new question out of the hat and let the conversation unfold. At the end, we'll open the discussion to further thoughts and ideas.
Gregor Sturm, Hanna Zimmermann, Sebastian Schrader, Teresa Monfared and Thea Hoffmann-Axthelm from the board will be discussing.

14.30 p.m. Panel discussion: The Prague Quadrennial 2027 – German scenography in an international context
How is German scenography perceived internationally? What developments are emerging for the PQ 2027? Experts from the field will discuss the changing international perception of German scenography and explore the upcoming challenges and opportunities for the German theater landscape. A fascinating exchange about the role and future of German scenography in an international context! The moderator will be Teresa Monfared (Chairman of the German Scenography Association).
The conversation will be held in spoken English, whisper translation is available if required.

After a short break for reorganization, we'll get into direct communication! We'll learn from each other in an interactive format. Using prompt questions, we'll engage in dynamic one-on-one conversations. A relaxed but valuable exchange about our individual skills, experiences, and challenges – and an opportunity to network. Because together we are stronger!

Finally, we gather insights and impressions from the day. What stays with us? What do we take with us? And what's next?
