Virtual construction rehearsal

The Virtual Construction Rehearsal demonstrates how theater productions can be fully planned and experienced in virtual space before their actual implementation. Using CAD models transferred to real-time engines, stage sets, lighting moods, and scenic sequences can be realistically simulated.
Norbert Richter (Chemnitz), Marcus Bendel, and Vincent Kaufmann (DTHG) will present their working methods and experiences – including projects such as the digital planning of the interim building in Kassel and large-scale musical theater and opera productions. All participants will provide practical insights into how virtual construction rehearsals can reduce time, resources, and coordination effort between departments.
This opens up new creative freedom and a shared, digital workspace for directors, set designers and technical managers.
